(Brussels) – PerVoice partecipates in the STON project funded by the Flamish Radio and Television Organization VRT (Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep organisatie) and IWT (Flemish government agency for Innovation by Science and Technology).

With the first partner executive meeting, has now take off the R&D project STON (Spraak-en Taal techologish Onder titelen in het Nederlands: Speech and Language Subtitling Technology in Dutch).

The aim of the project is the realization of an advanced “cockpit” prototype for different subtitling workflows which widley uses Automatic Speech Recognition technology.

The consortium that won the tender for devenlopment of the project consist of two companies located in Belgium (Devoteam and Limecraft), two Flemish Universities (Leuven and Ghent) and Pervoice.

Pervoice, which is the only foregin partner called to be parto of the Cosortium, will partecipate in the realization of the mail system and will devenlop a subsystem to automatically sychronize audio and text, when this is already avaiable (i.e. movie script).

The project involves an investiment of 770k Euros and will be completed within the next 18 months.
